I live in Palm Desert California. For those who don’t know, in the summertime it can get up to 120°. Yes you heard that right. I always wore baseball caps,but I feel they didn’t give me enough sun protection for the sides of face and my ears. This is the most glamorous hat and also it does it’s job. It’s far enough down on your head that your whole face is covered and sides too. Very lightweight material – highly recommend.

This hat is truly comfortable and more importantly, it provides complete shade and protection from the sun. It’s comfortable to wear and truly “breathes” unlike any other hat I’ve worn. Lightweight and easy to pack for travel, this will be my “go to” hat for sun protection and comfort.

This hat is really cool! Yes it’s fashionable but really cool in the hot summer out in the boat fishing! I love the snaps in the side. Wear it Aussie style if you like. Shades your neck from the UV rays and protects you from the “big C”
I bought my cousin one and myself one. We fish together in Florida in his boat. Also like the strap that ties your hat tightly to your head. Now I don’t have to take off my hat when I am running full speed in my boat! Can’t tell you how many times I have lost my hat in the water while running my boat.
I recommend this hat to all! It’s well worth the good price and you won’t be disappointed!

I wanted a hat for when I’m kayaking to keep the sun off my head and not make my head hot. This is just what I needed. The mesh in the hat allows for air flow. I can snap the brim up or for greater protection I can wear it with the brim full which will give a good amount of protection to face and neck. The hat is adjustable and has a drawstring to keep the wind from taking it. I’m glad I chose this one and would recommend it.

Great hat! Just what I was looking for; nice wide brim; chin strap for windy days; adjustable strap in the crown to customize to your head size; I like the snaps so you can put the sides up; packs easily; easy to rinse and line dry after a day of sweaty hiking; nice material and venting; I’ve used it several times and will continue as my new favorite sun hat; and the price is good!

I am going on a hiking trip to Havauspia in a couple of months. I want to start doing more walking/hiking and since I live in Arizona the sun can be intense! I want to make sure my face is covered with sunscreen but also wanted a hat for extra protection. This hat is large, but not so large that it looks funny. It covers my face well and fits comfortably! I generally have a big head – but this fits perfectly! And, it doesn’t look so large that it looks silly. Highly recommend!

As a person who has had multiple procedures done as a result of basal cell carcinoma,(skin cancer) I am very careful to wear protective clothing whenever I am going to be exposed to the sun. I’ve worn through lot of hats and glad to have finally got this one. A mesh area lets air circulate to give the hat a cooler feel than others I’ve owned. A drawstring can be pulled under the chin if the wind picks up— happens all the time where I live. The brim is a little wider than most of the hats I’ve worn, definitely a plus. With this hat and a few dabs of sunscreen, I feel I’m pretty well protected from the damaging rays of the Sun. Happy purchase! As a fair-skinned, red headed individual, I need wide brim protection for my scalp, face and back of my neck. This GearTop hat does all of that and more. It is totally adjustable to the circumference of your head without causing undue heat buildup.
When riding in our boat, the chin strap provides extra security so I don’t have to worry about losing the hat overboard.
I love this hat and will not hesitate to recommend it to my family and friends!

“Delivery was fast. Hat was delivered flattened but not folded. I expected it to be a crunched up bundle. Pleasantly pleased. Size adjustment was at its max when delivered. Fits just right. Tested for its water shedding and not affected at all. Love the look, wide brim and I can still carry my bug net and neck gaiter when I snap up the sides of the brim. Great price.”

I really fell in love with this hat when I received it, because not only was it attractive and light weight but it also has
An adjustable gadget at the back where you can adjust it to fit your head.that means that I can make it fit and it will stay on my head.. it’s very light weight and breathable so it keeps your head cool. It also can fold so you can carry it in your beach bag. Although I haven’t done it yet since I just bought it, it looks to me that it could be thrown in the wash cycle.

This is the first hat I’ve owned with mesh in the crown, and I couldn’t believe the difference. It really does keep my head cooler. It came folded, and I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to shape it the way I like it, but it only took a couple of wearings and it looks great. I love that it covers the back of my neck as well as my face. I didn’t realize I was buying a man’s hat, but it is adjustable and fits perfectly.
